The Opportunity

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys combining creativity, strategy, and analytics to drive measurable growth.

You will take ownership of Overcyte's digital visibility across search engines, AI-powered search platforms, social media, and other online channels.

Working closely with the founders and subject matter experts, you'll help transform industry knowledge into content and campaigns that build authority, attract the right audiences, and support business growth.

We're looking for someone who understands that digital marketing today is much more than SEO.

Success requires a combination of content, search, GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation), social engagement, brand authority, and continuous optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

Search & Website Performance

  • Develop and execute Overcyte's SEO and GEO strategy.
  • Improve visibility across Google, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity, and emerging AI search platforms.
  • Conduct keyword, topic, and audience research to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Manage and optimise Overcyte's presence within Google Search, Bing, and relevant industry directories.
  • Utilise Google Search Console to identify indexing issues, content opportunities, search performance trends, and technical improvements.
  • Monitor website health, crawlability, site speed, structured data, and user experience metrics.
  • Analyse search intent and customer behaviour to improve discoverability and conversion performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve visibility for priority topics, frameworks, industries, and target markets.
  • Optimise website structure, landing pages, metadata, and content.
  • Monitor organic traffic, rankings, engagement, and conversion performance.

Content Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and maintain a content roadmap aligned to business objectives.
  • Work with internal subject matter experts to create articles, guides, case studies, whitepapers, webinars, and thought leadership content.
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose content across multiple channels and audiences.
  • Ensure content is optimised for both traditional search and AI-powered discovery.
  • Support the development of customer stories, industry insights, and educational resources.
  • Maintain content consistency across the website, social channels, and marketing campaigns.

LinkedIn & Social Growth

  • Grow Overcyte's presence on LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
  • Develop and execute social content plans.
  • Support promotion of webinars, events, reports, articles, and campaigns.
  • Increase audience engagement and follower growth.
  • Work with leadership to strengthen both personal and company brand visibility.
  • Utilise LinkedIn analytics and campaign tools to measure engagement, audience growth, and content performance.
  • Identify opportunities to amplify content through organic and paid social initiatives where appropriate.
  • Monitor social listening and industry conversations to identify emerging topics and engagement opportunities.

Authority Building & Digital PR

  • Identify opportunities to increase industry visibility and credibility.
  • Support backlink acquisition, guest articles, industry publications, podcasts, webinars, and partner marketing initiatives.
  • Help position Overcyte as a trusted voice in cyber security, operational resilience, critical infrastructure security, and risk management.
  • Build relationships with industry associations, media outlets, partners, and relevant communities.
  • Monitor competitor activity and emerging market trends.
  • Identify opportunities for awards, research publications, speaking engagements, and industry recognition.

Marketing Technology & Insights

  • Utilise digital marketing and analytics platforms to monitor performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Manage and optimise tools including:
    • Google Analytics (GA4)
    • Google Search Console
    • Google Tag Manager
    • Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or similar SEO platforms
    • LinkedIn Analytics
    • Webflow
    • Microsoft Clarity or equivalent user behaviour tools
    • AI-assisted marketing and content tools
  • Develop dashboards and reporting that provide visibility of website performance, search visibility, audience engagement, and lead generation outcomes.
  • Use data and insights to prioritise marketing activities and measure return on investment.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, AI-driven search developments, and evolving digital marketing practices.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and track meaningful growth metrics and KPIs.
  • Report on website performance, search visibility, content engagement, social growth, and lead generation.
  • Provide recommendations for ongoing optimisation and improvement.
  • Use data and insights to guide future marketing initiatives.
  • Test, learn, and continuously improve campaign and content performance.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • 3+ years' experience in digital marketing, SEO, content marketing, growth marketing, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and content-driven growth.
  • Hands-on experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO research platforms.
  • Strong understanding of website analytics, conversion tracking, and performance reporting.
  • Strong writing, editing, and content development skills.
  • Experience managing LinkedIn business and executive profiles.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience using content management systems and website platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience in B2B technology, SaaS or professional services.
  • Experience with Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and AI-driven search.
  • Experience using Google Tag Manager and conversion tracking.
  • Experience with AI-assisted marketing, content, and research tools.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM platforms.
  • Experience running and optimising Google Search campaigns.
  • Experience developing thought leadership and authority-building campaigns.
  • Understanding of digital attribution and customer journey analysis.
